Our Telescope Repair Program

One of Emmat's key areas of its repair program is Rigid Endoscope repairs. Our telescope business is highly respected.

Telescopes require expensive parts to repair, and these, along with the necessary repair knowledge are not always available from all repair companies. Since these Telescopes are a substantial NHS and private sector investment, it is important that only Qualified Optical engineers be allowed to work on them.

We at Emmat have the highest qualified Optical Engineers working on our repair Telescopes who incidentally have learned their craft working within the Optical industry for many, many years. We only use top grade German replacements optics. We log all makes, serial numbers and components used, and provide a Technical report of the Repair. Most repairs are standard. However approximately two out of every 10/15 Scope can require retubing or refibering, following a "Shaver "injury to the distal tip or a diathermy coupling burn. We always pre notify these repairs with a quote.

We also will offer a very competitive Replacement compatible scope if required with a trade in allowance.

Below are our Q/A we provide to reassure our customers as these are the most commonly asked questions.

We provide this to reassure our customers to the handling & repairing of there out of warranty telescopes, as a consequence this extends the life of the scopes for a modest repair cost.
